Yamaha Grand Filano 125cc: Yamaha has launched its Grand Filano 125cc scooter. However, it was not launched in India, but in Indonesia. As far as India is concerned, it will compete directly with the Honda Activa 125cc, but there is no word yet on its India launch.

It is priced in Indonesia from IDR 27 million (about Rs 1.46 million on-road) for the Neo variant and IDR 27.5 million (about Rs 1.48 million on-road) for the Lux variant. Let us tell you that the price of Fascina in India is between Rs 79,000 to Rs 90,000. The Grand Filano is a more premium offering as compared to the Fascino. There is a vertical LED element in the shape of a diamond along with the LED headlight on the apron which looks attractive.
It has vertical LED taillight and LED indicators. Hazard warning light is also given in this scooty. However, there is no chrome element throughout the scooter. Instead, some elements have been painted black to give it a sporty look.
This scooty has 27L boot space and flaunts a bottle holder. Another unique feature of the Yamaha Grand Filano is that you can view important notifications and maps on the scooty’s display by connecting a smart phone to the My Yamaha App.

Coming to the engine, it is powered by a 125cc mild-hybrid engine that produces around 8 bhp and 10.4 Nm. This setup is also available in the Fascino sold in India. There is also a start / stop function. The fuel tank cap is mounted on the front apron.
The volume of the fuel tank is 4.4 liters. The luggage compartment volume of the scooter is 27 litres. There is also a 12V charging socket in the front apron for charging gadgets. Yamaha Grand Filano has a 12-inch alloy wheel.
