Highest career batting average in ODI: It is not easy to perform consistently well in shorter format cricket, be it T20 or ODI. In this type of cricket, the team has a limited number of balls and as soon as the batsmen come in front, there is a tough challenge to move fast from the score. This is the reason that very few batsmen have been able to maintain a run average of 50 or above in both ODI and T20I formats. Talking about ODIs, India’s Shubman Gill has the best batting average (including batsmen playing at least 20 innings) among current cricketers. Not only this, his strike rate is also above 100.
