Goyal reached New York on Sunday. He is on an official visit here till January 11. During this he will also visit Washington DC. In the first leg of the visit, he will hold a meeting with the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of multinational companies. Will attend round table meetings with industry leaders and research institutions and visit New York industries. He will attend the 13th Trade Policy Forum (TPF) meeting in Washington on January 11 and will also hold a bilateral meeting with US Trade Representative Catherine Tai. Addressing an event organized by Consul General of India in New York Randhir Jaiswal and members of the overseas Indian community on the eve of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2023, Goyal said that the ancestors of your people came to America in search of a better life.

New record made in exports

Goyal said that the country’s exports have crossed the $670 billion mark for the first time. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is also at an all-time high. In 2021-22, the country has received foreign investment of $ 84 billion. He said that today India is getting the best return on investment. This is more than any other country. Goyal said that during the chairmanship of G20, we will tell the world about our capabilities and contribution.
