young hearts Mahindra’s Thar, which has become a heartbeat, has been launched in a new style and at an affordable price. The new Thar has been launched at an initial price of Rs 9.99 lakh. That is, the new one has become cheaper than the already available Thar. If you want to buy a new Thar, you can book it by paying Rs 10,000. Mahindra has launched the new Thar with two engine options in rear wheel drive (RWD) variants and four wheel drive (4WD) variants with increased capacity. The diesel variants of the RWD range are powered by the new D 117 CRDe engine producing 117 bhp and 300 Nm torque (87.2 kW @ 3500 rpm) with manual transmission. The petrol variants of the RWD range are powered by the mStallion 150 TGDI engine producing 150 bhp and 320 Nm of torque (112 kW@5000 rpm) mated to an automatic transmission.
Advanced Electronic Brake Locking System
The 4WD variant of the new Thar now comes with advanced Electronic Brake Locking Differential, which gives better driving experience. For those who still prefer the Mechanical Locking Differential (MLD), it will be available as an option on the LX diesel 4WD variant. There has been no change in the 4WD powertrain line-up. It is powered by a 2.0L mStallion 150 TGDI petrol engine producing 150 Bhp power and 320 Nm torque and a 2.2L mHawk 130 diesel engine producing 130 Bhp power and 320 Nm torque. These engines have the option of 6-speed manual transmission and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
Many changes in the interior and exterior
The brand new Thar range has been customized to suit individual requirements. It is also now offers in two very exciting new colors – Blazing Bronze and Everest White. New Accessory Pack – featuring 4 various designs. Keeping in mind the needs and expectations of the customers, front and rear arm-rests are being offered as accessories. There is In-built storage along the armrest. Also, to create the rear arm-rest more comfortable and convenient, they will get cup-holders and USB charging point. The RWD range will be offered only with the hard top option.
